UNWELCOME GUESTS seem to be kicking it into high gear these days and I've got a bunch of awesome news to report on the subject. Firstly, in just over a week Micah will be performing acoustic versions of Unwelcome Guests songs at an upcoming show in their hometown of Buffalo. This is a rarity and Loved Ones frontman Dave Hause is also on the bill. Should be really cool, so if you live in the area you should definitely check it out. If you don't live in the area I can console you with this second tidbit. They've also booked a spring tour of the northeast! The band just recently released a split on Kiss of Death with England's THE 255s which we think is pretty great. You can purchase the 7" or download it for free HERE . If you dig them a whole lot, they'll also have a split 7" with Sick Sick Birds out in the next couple of months on Traffic Street Records which we're all sure is killer too. Check out the show and tour dates below:

Three new records in the store!
We're happy to announce the release of 3 brand new records for sale through KOD today! More info and links to purchase below!
KOD 45
ARMS ALOFT / THE MANIX split 7"
1. ARMS ALOFT - Doubledranopercocetnoice
2. ARMS ALOFT - Skinny Love
3. THE MANIX - Fourida
4. THE MANIX - The Greatest Thieves
Wisconsin's ARMS ALOFT bring a double dose of loud gruff anthemic punk in the vein of Dillinger Four. It's melodic, driving and the vocals are belted out with serious intensity. THE MANIX provide an excellent flip side to this split by drawing on similar influences with equally successful yet somehow different results. The Manix have a few more whoas in their songs, but fans of one side should be stoked on the other. Both of these bands play the type of good, tight shit we've come to expect from America's midwest punk scene.

WAX PHANTOM / CRIMINAL CULTURE split 7"
1. CRIMINAL CULTURE - I Wish all my Friends Could Hear this Song
2. CRIMINAL CULTURE - No one on Degrassi Ever Stays Posi
3. WAX PHANTOM - F- My Bod
4. WAX PHANTOM - Every Reggae Day
5. WAX PHANTOM - Don't Bother to Bury Me
Criminal Culture is sometimes fast, sometimes rocking, sometimes mellow, but they always maintain a catchy and dynamic vibe. While they manage to compose their songs with interesting and intricate dueling guitar lines, the focus is always on the vocals and the heartfelt lyrics. Sling your arms around your buddies and sing along! Plus they're from Tampa. Bonus! Wax Phantom features members of Iron Chic, Down in the Dumps, Jonesin' and Small Arms Dealer. Their side of the split is a little more straightforward at times with "F - My Bod" dealing heavily in bar chords and dueling vocals. "Don't Bother to Bury Me" has a much darker vibe until that giant chorus kicks in to bring it home. Really well written stuff here.

UNWELCOME GUESTS / THE 255s Split
1. UNWELCOME GUESTS - Just the One
2. UNWELCOME GUESTS - Patience
3. THE 255s - Caffeine
4. THE 255s - Fencesitter
Unwelcome Guests are back to follow up their "Don't Go Swimming" LP with 2 new songs of melodic rocking indie/punk. It's uptempo, it's catchy and it's fun. Think a more posi sounding Lemonheads. The 255s come all the way from Northern England to deliver a double dose of indie/pop/rock complete with fuzzed out guitars and driving drums.
