The Slow Death US Tour FEATURING rare Soviettes appearances!

Minneapolis, Minnesota's The Slow Death are getting ready to embark on a tour that has them covering most of the continental United States in a little over a month. The band, fronted by Jesse Thorson and joined by punk heroes Paddy Costello, Mikey Erg, Annie Sparrows and Jonny C, just recently wrapped up the recording of a brand new full-length entitled "Born Ugly Got Worse" that will be available via Kiss of Death Records this fall. While out on the road The Slow Death will be sharing the stage with the likes of Dear Landlord, Dead to Me, Off With Their Heads and more as they make their way around the country. They also have a stop planned at Awesome Fest 5, a 3-day music festival taking place in San Diego, California over Labor Day weekend.

The Slow Death were most recently featured in Turnstile Comix #1, the first in an ongoing comic book/7" series. Artist Mitch Clem illustrated some of Jesse Thorson's greatest tour stories and packaged it together with a 7" of brand new songs from the band. The package is available from Silversprocket.net.

Also making a rare appearance at this year's Awesome Fest 5 is The Soviettes. They will join The Slow Death for a couple of days leading up to the festival before performing and heading home. The Soviettes just reissued their classic "LP II" on Kiss of Death Records which you can pick up in the KOD STORE and guitarist Annie Sparrows is part of the current Slow Death lineup.

CAVES
"This Bristol, UK punk-pop trio are often compared to bands such as Discount and Lemuria and it’s no surprise why. They play a brand of punk that is infused with pop, lacks overly hard edges (not a criticism) and all are/were fronted by a female. In the case of Caves, the female is Louise Hanman, who also plays guitar, backed up by a particularly tight rhythm section of Dave Brent on drums and Jonathan Minto on bass." - Punknews.org

SUNDIALS
"If you enjoy the sunny, jangly, '90s alt-rock-influenced punk sounds of fellow upstarts Failures' Union, this should be directly up your alley. A bounty of melody and exuberantly sung vocals are wielded by Sundials here at every turn." - Punknews.org
