New Bruises in the studio to record their sophomore full-length!
Here we are in production of KOD 65 and in a way we're back exactly where we started. NEW BRUISES are currently in the studio recording their sophomore full-length (and follow-up to "Transmit Transmit") almost 5 years after releasing the band's first full-length as KOD 01. Sure, Bryon owns the label. Sure, they've released a plethora of splits in between. But we are all unbelievably stoked to have a new record by New Bruises. The band is recording in Gainesville, FL and I'll have more details like "album title" and "tracklisting" when Bryon figures out what the hell to call the songs.

Mayflower to play benefit show this weekend in Brooklyn!
MAYFLOWER are part of an incredible benefit show taking place this weekend. Teddy sent me over the info and I felt it was pertinent to send it on to you guys to help garner a little support for the cause. The details are below:
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 25th, 2010
RUINER (one of their final shows!)
ACHILLES
ANOTHER BREATH
SUCH GOLD
MAYFLOWER
PARTY XPO 929 Broadway
This show will be $10.
There WILL be advance tickets available in the near future!
7pm doors and ALL AGES
"In May of 2010, Jake Stults was involved in a skateboarding accident that caused severe brain trauma. He spent two days on life support before he was taken off it on May 9th (Mother's Day). He was 31 years old, and like most punks didn't have health insurance. Jake was known for being a rad guy, as well as playing in the final line-up of De La Hoya. The proceeds from this show will be donated to Jake's wife Irene and his family to help pay for his hospital stay and medical expenses."
I would hope that any of you guys in the area that read this will try and make it out. While the situation is a sad one, and the price of healthcare in this country has gotten extremely out of hand, it's also inspiring. Our community of broke punks still has the heart to put on shows like this to help out our friends and their families. Go help out and see a killer show while you're at it.

Fellow Project/Go Sell Drugs split now available for sale and free download!
FELLOW PROJECT and GO SELL DRUGS just wrapped up an east coast tour together, but that doesn't mean that those who missed out on the shows have to miss out on all the fun. We're proud to announce the release of their brand new split 7" which features 2 new songs from each band. Check below for the release description, cover art and tracklisting as well as links to buy the record or download it for free!

1. Fellow Project - "Eggshells"
2. Fellow Project - "I Like to Play the Ponies"
3. Go Sell Drugs - "Raptorman's Intervention"
4. Go Sell Drugs - "Shit Storm"
Fellow Project are back with a couple of of new tracks of their dynamic and catchy brand of poppy post punk. The opening track "Eggshells" is a driving yet off kilter head-banging tune that is heavy, catchy and dynamic. "I Like to Play the Ponies" is a more straightforward yet sad sounding mid-tempo jaunt that is perfect for a good sing-along. Go Sell Drugs bring a tougher, bar chord heavy approach to the first song on their side of the split. However, their not short on dynamics. The second track "Shitstorm" features giant gang vocals on the chorus, a duel vocal approach to the bridge and some sweet soaring octaves, you'll be pumping your fist to this track in no time.
You can buy the record on vinyl HERE and check out the free download HERE.
